Tooth Whitening/Bleaching
We currently offer two types of whitening
systems:
If your teeth are relatively healthy and lightly
stained, we recommend the professional strength
Crest White Strips. With this system you normally
will see results within 7 - 10 days. To introduce
our patients to the bleaching at home concept, we
offer these in our office. These professional
strength white strips are 42% more effective than
the over-the-counter Crest White Strips. The fee
for this system is $50.00.

If your teeth require more frequent bleaching
maintenance or are discolored due to chronic
medication during tooth development, the most
effective technique is custom made trays and
renewable supplies of Carbamide Peroxide. This is
an ongoing service that requires more of Dr.
Cichon's time and supervision. The fee for
this procedure is $350.00 for the initial therapy
and about $25.00 per syringe of bleach refills.
Tooth color varies from patient to patient.
Discoloration can darken with age. Tobacco,
minerals, anitbiotics, beverages and food can also
cause staining and discoloration of teeth.
Please Note: You should never attempt bleaching
your teeth without first consulting with your
dentist. Any unsupervised bleaching, in the
presence of decay or gum disease, may result in
permanent damage. Existing dental work will
not whiten with bleaching.
